So, how do you build strength, balance, and mobility from the ground up?
That’s easy. You practice the shrimp squat.
The shrimp squat is one of those movements that you don’t see very often. That’s a shame because it is quite possibly the best leg exercise out there for accomplishing multiple goals like getting strong and increasing balance and mobility.
Sure, the pistol squat does similar things. But I’ve found that the shrimp squat forces you to work harder on balance and mobility. Plus you can’t cheat the movement like you can with the pistol squat by using the roll-up.
