Recovery:
Less Soreness, Faster Progress

It can feel nice to be a little sore after training. But if you’re too stiff and tired to enjoy life and show up fully for your next session, the soreness is costing you progress.

Most people deal with this by doing nothing and hoping it passes, or by throwing money at gadgets. We’ve tried just about every recovery tool, supplement, and hack on the market. Some of them work for specific areas. Most of them collect dust.

What works every time is targeted movement: slow, gentle, full-range work through the joints and muscles that are holding tension. Fifteen minutes of the right movements and you can feel the difference before you stand up.

That’s what Recovery is.

Feel Better in 15 Minutes. Show Up Stronger Tomorrow.

GMB Recovery Program
☺️ Relieve Muscle Soreness
🛌 Relax for Deeper Sleep
🔓 Release Stiff, Tight Areas

…in just 15 or 30 minutes, between workouts.

$39 – Get Recovery

100% Online | Lifetime Access | No Equipment

Recovery is also available as part of the Regulator bundle.

Here’s What You’ll Actually Do

Your workouts break your body down. The time between sessions is when your body adapts and builds capacity for next time. Recovery accelerates that process with three types of practice:

Loosen What’s Tight

  • Slow, low-intensity stretches to release tension in the muscles that seized up after training
  • Gentle vibration and shaking exercises to let your body physically let go
  • Extended-range positions held at an easy intensity so tissues can relax and lengthen

Move Your Joints Through Full Range

  • Take your hips and shoulders through their complete range of motion at a pace that promotes circulation
  • Coordinated movements that increase blood flow to sore areas
  • Light locomotion patterns that keep your body active without adding training stress

Bring Your System Back Down

  • Practices that shift your nervous system from “still training” to “actually recovering”
  • Breath-coordinated movement to reduce the lingering tension that follows hard sessions
  • Body awareness exercises that help you notice and release what you’re holding onto

We’re offering all of this for less than most companies will sell you a foam roller.

You can get 90% of the recovery benefit without any equipment at all, just your body and a bit of floor. It’s up to you which sounds like the better value.

We built Recovery inside Praxis, our custom training platform, for flexibility and convenience:

  • 34 training sessions you can repeat as often as you like.
  • 15 and 30-minute options to best fit your schedule.
  • All your scheduling, timekeeping, and tracking are built in.
  • Detailed instruction and exercise tutorials you can review anytime.

I used Recovery today 1st thing as I didn't feel enough zip for a daily battery and yet I need to start my day with some movement. I was hoping to encourage my body to feel in recovery mode, and like magic, 15 minutes later I feel better than I did at the beginning.

When to Use Recovery

Recovery is supplemental training. It works best alongside a main program (Elements, Integral Strength, lifting, martial arts, running, whatever you do) rather than as your only practice.

Here’s how clients actually use it:

Between hard sessions. The most common approach. Train on Monday, do a 15-minute Recovery session on Tuesday, train again on Wednesday feeling looser and more prepared. Several clients have told us this single change made the biggest difference in their weekly consistency.

As a morning routine. One client used Recovery every morning for months as a way to wake up his body before the day started. Gentle joint movement, some light stretching, and a nervous system reset in 15 minutes. He said it hit all the right areas and that starting with shaking his whole body was the best alarm clock he’d found.

When you don’t feel like training but want to keep moving. Low energy days, stressful weeks, mild illness, or recovery from medical procedures. Recovery gives you something productive to do that won’t dig you deeper into a hole.

Some clients have discovered that these sessions can be surprisingly enjoyable when given full attention. One client spent an hour in a single session and called it “one of my favorite GMB sessions EVER.”

Come Back Fresh for Every Session

Recovery gives you a reliable, repeatable practice to clear the soreness and tension that build up between workouts, so your next session starts where the last one should have ended.

…or grab it as part of Regulator

Recovery fits any schedule, and it’s yours for life, so you can go at your own pace and revisit it as many times as you want.

How is this different from Elements and the other GMB programs?

Recovery was designed as a complement to our core curriculum, each program of which has its own purpose and focus.

Elements, Integral Strength, and Sequences are well-rounded programs that can work either as your primary training or in addition to a sport or gym routine. Mobility was intended to be used alongside other training to increase range of motion without slowing recovery from your main workouts.

Recovery works best as an add-on practice to mobilize stiff muscles and relax your nervous system between workouts. While Elements and Mobility can also serve as low-intensity training, Recovery is focused entirely on that purpose.

It won’t build muscle. It’s not gonna burn extra fat or teach you how to do a handstand.

It will accelerate your recovery and help you make faster progress in your primary training.

Do I have to have done Elements first?

No, you don’t have to do anything.

Though Recovery works great alongside any of our other programs, it’s self-contained and fits into whatever routines you happen to be following.

Will Recovery completely eliminate sore muscles?

When you integrate this practice into your regular routine, you’ll be gently stretching the key areas that tend to get stiff after a workout. You’ll also reduce the elevated tension in your nervous system that follows intense activities.

Lower stress and reduced soreness will make it easier to get through the days after a tough workout, but soreness is a fact of life, and some people get more sore than others. Usually, that soreness doesn’t indicate injury, and it certainly doesn’t mean you can’t train. It just makes training suck a little bit more than it has to 😉

Downregulating your nervous system can also improve sleep and speed muscle recovery, which leads to less pain and tension overall.

How much space do I need?

Recovery doesn’t require much space at all. Just enough room to sit, stand, and lie down on the floor is enough.

Do I need any kind of special equipment?

Nope!

Just a bit of floor. Maybe a chair or wall to help balance while you’re learning certain movements.

Can Recovery help rehabilitate prior injuries?

That’s pretty tricky to guess at, since the nature of individual injuries is going to be case-by-case. Normally, we’d just say “email us and ask,” but the truth is that Recovery is designed for recuperation, not rehabilitation. That may seem like a fine semantic line, but the gist is that Recovery will help relieve tension and stress, not heal injuries.

Recovery, and any other training we’re able to offer, is not a replacement for medical care.
