Rings One (R1):
Gymnastic Rings Basic Training (DISCONTINUED)

⚠️ Rings One has been discontinued…

If you previously purchased R1, you still have lifetime access to the program in your account.

Rings are Now Part of Integral Strength

Integral Strength

Integral Strength

Develop strength, power, and stability in athletic movements

Intelligent Upgrades to Classic Calisthenics

If you’re looking to rings to build bulletproof shoulders, a solid grip, and enough strength to easily pull your weight in any situations, Integral Strength will give you all that and more, in a program that’s better designed and easier to follow than Rings One was.

Integral Strength Details

“It is a well balanced circuit with well structured progressions. It highlighted areas I wasn’t aware I needed to work on, and it helped improve my strength and coordination all over. A good surprise win was how much better my single leg strength got!”
~ Duncan McGechie, GMB Client

Rings One FAQ

People have a lot of Qs about this, so here’s some As:

Hey, can I get Rings One?

Nope.

Will GMB be replacing Rings One?

Nope.

Why can’t I get R1?

We explained the most important parts of why we stopped selling Rings One and some other programs here.

Are you sure? I won’t tell anyone…

We’re sure. No, you can’t buy it.

Will Rings One be added to Praxis?

If you’re new to GMB, Praxis is our course platform where our current programs live. One reason we stopped allowing new members to buy R1 is that the structure of the program won’t work with Praxis.

However, we’re not monsters, so anyone who already owns R1 or any program of ours can still access that on our older members’ dashboard.

Why are you so mean?

I was bullied in school, and now I’m taking it out on the world.

What should I do?

Do Integral Strength instead.

IS includes the option to train with gymnastic rings, covering essentials like the top support position as well as basic pushes and pulls. It will lay the foundation you need to learn muscle-ups and levers while also building your legs and core for athletic application.

Other options:

  • Our friend Dan at FitnessFAQs has a physique-centric program using rings called Body by Rings.
  • Our friend Ben at WODPrep has a very solid Muscle-Up course for CrossFitters.
  • We have some very good free ring training tutorials, covering specific skills and complete workouts.

But I heard you’re working on a new rings program.

You heard wrong.

We’re working on a training resource that will teach you more than you ever wanted to know about training with rings, including why you probably don’t actually want a program based on *just* rings. It’s not a program, though.

We aren’t making programs around using specific equipment anymore, because we believe it’s a flawed premise.
