With the basic combinations in place, you’ll practice mini-routines that further develop your balance and control while stringing together combinations.

Next, you’ll work on transitioning smoothly and fluidly between the movements you learned in the first training phase to build combinations and more complex skills.

Finally, you’ll put all your new strength and skills to good use in performing the complete flow routine, by which you’ll refine and polish your abilities.

What equipment is required?
We recommend some kind of floor mat or mattress for training flips, but grass or carpet are adequate for most of the moves.
Do I need gymnastic experience??
No. If you’ve got some basic tumbling and hand balance, you’ll be fine, even if you’ve never done gymnastics.
What kind of space do I need to practice in?
Some moves will be easier to learn if you can take a couple of running steps, but you don’t need a huge floor to practice.
What moves will I learn?
The video at the top of this page gives a good idea: aerials, front flips, macaco, press to handstand, and more.
Do I need a training partner?
Having a partner to spot for you can help overcome fear for some move, and F2 includes instructions for a spotter, but it’s not a requirement.
Can I combine F2 with other training programs?
Sure. You just need reasonable expectations about how quickly you can learn new skills while pursuing other activities too.
Is tumbling dangerous without coaching?
It can be. We’ve tried to show the safest methods to practice, but many of these skills are inherently risky, and you’ll need to accept that.
How long does F2 take?
For the fastest progress, you should be prepared to practice almost every day, for up to an hour.
