Flexibility Mini-Course – Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Flexibility Mini-Course!

Today’s routine:

  1. Cobra Stretch

We’ll start this mini-course by focusing on one stretch today – the Cobra Stretch. If you spend a lot of your time sitting at a desk, you likely have felt some tightness in your mid and upper back. This stretch helps to open those areas up.

The primary muscle areas addressed with this stretch are:

  • Abdominals
  • Hip Flexors
Key Points
• Keep the front of your hips down flat on the ground, raise your chest up and forward. Relax your glutes and low back. Pull through your hands as if trying to bring yourself forward.
• Dynamic action is pushing your knees into the ground and pulling down through your hands.

Practice this stretch for a few minutes today, then come back tomorrow for Day 2’s stretches!
